Chiropractic derives from the Greek word cheir meaning hand and praktos meaning done; literally done by hand.
It was developed in its modern form in the USA in the mid 1800s. There are written records referring to spinal manipulation dating from ancient Greek and Chinese civilizations.
Fairford Chiropractic is well qualified, local, careful and completely confidential.
McTimoney chiropractic differs from other forms of chiropractic because the adjustments used are very specific and quite gentle - no ‘cracking’ of joints is experienced. McTimoney chiropractic has a whole-body philosophy. The whole body is assessed at each visit but only the adjustments that are actually required are made.
